Case Studies

Hospitals do many things, but they’re not great at everything — and a good hospital does not mean you get a great doctor.

Access is helpful. It is not leverage. Doctor-to-doctor communication is.

We see it every day.

We know that if the little details are missed — the big details will be missed, too.

Health—Nothing Matters More

Today, the world is changing. Navigating healthcare alone is a daunting task. It is time-consuming and sometimes frustrating, with high-level care often delayed.

We govern healthcare decisions with discretion and privacy.

Physician standing is what sets us apart. Every competitor coordinates, provides access, or responds. None of them governs.

What we do bears great responsibility.

We are driven by our purpose and commitment to serving others.

CLINICAL CASES CASE 1 — Pediatric Neurosurgery MEDICAL HELP NEEDED A family office client in Houston called. Their 4½-year-old daughter had experienced seizures for six months. An abnormal MRI revealed a severe brainstem malformation requiring immediate pediatric neurosurgery consultation. CLIENT EXPERIENCE The family could not secure an appointment at Texas Children's Hospital — the number two pediatric neurosurgery program in the country, located in their own city. They were inside the right system and still could not get through. They were alone inside a machine that was not moving fast enough. OUTCOMES & RESULTS We assumed jurisdictional control immediately. A doctor-to-doctor call was placed to the Chief of Pediatric Neurosurgery at Texas Children's Hospital the following day. Simultaneously, we engaged leading specialists at Emory, UTHealth Houston, and Mayo Clinic Rochester. Appointments were secured within 72 hours. A six-month clinical observation plan was established. The child was seen at both UTHealth Houston and Texas Children's Hospital. The system did not move. We moved it. For the firm: When your most important client called in crisis, they did not scramble. They activated their Healthcare Governance infrastructure. That is the difference between a firm that sends a food basket and a firm that becomes indispensable. CASE 2 — Beverly Hills Dermatology MEDICAL HELP NEEDED A family office client in Beverly Hills called. A painful rash required immediate treatment. International travel was imminent. The next available appointment was three weeks away. CLIENT EXPERIENCE The client could not arrange care before departure. Inside a system built for volume, three weeks is the answer — regardless of urgency, regardless of net worth, regardless of what is at stake. OUTCOMES & RESULTS We placed a doctor-to-doctor call directly to the dermatologist. The client was seen first thing after the weekend — before international departure, before the situation escalated, before the system's default timeline became the family's reality. Access stops at the door. Physician-to-physician leverage opens it. For the firm: This was not a crisis. It was a routine healthcare moment. And even here — without Medical Infrastructure — your client was on their own. EHN governs healthcare at every level, not just emergencies. That consistency is what builds generational loyalty. CASE 3 — Miami Primary Care MEDICAL HELP NEEDED A client called seeking a new Primary Care Physician in Miami. Local physicians were not accepting new patients. The system was closed. CLIENT EXPERIENCE They could not find a PCP on their own. This is not a rare situation — it is the default experience inside a healthcare system where the average wait time to see a new physician is 31 days. Net worth does not change that number. OUTCOMES & RESULTS We held a doctor-to-doctor conversation directly with a new PCP. The office manager called the client the same day to establish a chart and care plan. The client was seen that week. The system said no. Physician-to-physician leverage changed the answer. For the firm: Your top clients are navigating this alone — every time they need a new specialist, every time they move cities, every time the system closes a door. Without a Healthcare Governance infrastructure, your firm has no answer for this. EHN is the answer. CASE 4 — Los Angeles / Boston ER MEDICAL HELP NEEDED A family office client in Los Angeles called. Their daughter was in the emergency room in Boston with suspected appendicitis. The parents were across the country — dressing for a charity event — with no protocol and no clinical leverage over what happened next. CLIENT EXPERIENCE The family needed immediate help coordinating care for their daughter, three thousand miles away — inside an ER that did not know her, did not have her records, and was processing her as volume. Without intervention, she was alone in the machine. OUTCOMES & RESULTS We established jurisdictional control from out of state within fifteen minutes. Simultaneous conversations were held with the Tufts Medical Center charge nurse, the attending ER physician, and the patient directly. The care plan was reviewed. The patient was assured she was not alone — and she wasn't. The parents were, too. The patient was discharged that night. The correct diagnosis — a ruptured ovarian cyst, not appendicitis — was identified. A doctor-to-doctor conversation with the requested female OB-GYN at Brigham and Women's Hospital was completed that night. An appointment was arranged for the following day. The panic call came. The firm had a protocol. The family was not abandoned to the system's default. For the firm: This is the moment that defines the relationship — not the portfolio review, not the estate plan, not the annual meeting. The moment the panic call comes, you can say, "I have it handled." That sentence — backed by Medical Infrastructure — is worth more than any yield differential you will ever offer. That is indispensability. And indispensability compounds.
